Why better in-store mobile connectivity drives loyalty app engagement webinar playback

Retail Webinar – Why better in-store mobile connectivity drives loyalty app engagement.

Missed our retail webinar? Watch it back

What happens when a customer walks into a store, opens their loyalty app and finds they cannot get it to load? Lack of mobile signal can quickly undo a great deal of investment in digital loyalty. If customers can’t access their vouchers, download an offer or make a mobile payment, then both the experience and the sale will suffer.

And it was this that was the starting point for our recent webinar, Driving loyalty app engagement with in-store mobile connectivity.

Hosted by Pan RF’s Roger Sowerbutts, the conversation brought together our Managing Director Ross Hulley MIET, Nextivity Group CEO Michiel Lotter and Retail Technology Publisher Miya Knights.

They looked at why mobile coverage has become such an important part of the in-store experience and why guest Wi-Fi does not always provide the seamless answer retailers expect. While shoppers must find and join a Wi-Fi network, good mobile coverage simply continues working when they walk through the door.

Ross also shared the story behind a multi-operator mobile solution now deployed across more than 400 UK stores for a major grocery retailer. The improved coverage has supported increased loyalty app adoption, more active use and greater redemption of promotions and vouchers.

Perhaps most importantly, the webinar showed that better connectivity is not simply another IT expense. By looking at real store data, including footfall and average basket size, retailers can build a clear commercial case for investment.
